Years ago, there was a TV series called The Six Million Dollar Man. He was built and equipped with nuclear-powered bionic limbs and implants. Well, that’s nothing compared to what God has created! Each one of us is unique…one of a kind…a genuine marvel of God’s creative genius. For example, our tongues contain thousands of tiny taste buds; each one is capable of discerning between different flavours. And then there’s our digestive system – perfectly designed to break down our food, extract the nutrients from it, and pass them into our blood stream to energise our cells. Then there’s our cooling system – around four million sweat glands working to keep us from overheating. And our sensory system, which contains over 37 miles of nerves to send and interpret messages and formulate a response. And every single one of the seven billion people on our planet is unique! Nobody else has your voice pattern, fingerprints, and DNA. When each of us was born, God never wondered if He made a mistake. He knows everything about us. He paid a great price for us (see 1 Corinthians 6:20). He made us members of His redeemed family (see 1 John 3:2). He has a path already laid out for us to follow, if we choose to (see Psalm 37:23), and He wants to see us succeed in His plan. He loved us even when we were at our most unlovable, and He chose us before we could do right or wrong. And all that He asks in return is our praise; our thanks for the things He’s blessed us with; He asks us to spend time with Him, to talk to Him, and to read the Word He gave us. He loves us so much more than we could ever imagine. Let’s not allow anything to come between us and God.
